Cherry Blossom Journal

The decorative paper used on these journals is called chiyogami paper, also known as oragami paper. It is silkscreen printed by hand in Japan! The spine is bookcloth, and the other 2 cover panels are made from Lokta paper. It's a very strong handmade paper that comes from plants that only grow in the high altitude areas of Nepal. The oldest known document ever found in Nepal was actually written on this type of paper and is estimated to be 1,000 to 1,900 years old!

Each book I make is made entirely by hand, leaving you with a journal where the care put into making it is something you can actually feel. This journal will lay completely flat while writing and will hold up exceptionally to regular use.

Inside are 180 pages of smooth, 105 gsm lined paper that is fountain pen friendly, offering minimal bleed and a consistently satisfying writing experience. Please note the lined paper in this journal doesn't have much "tooth" so fountain pen ink is easier to smudge before it dries.
