To me, the highlight of this journal are the Chiyogami endpages. It's a special handmade paper that's silkscreen printed by hand in Japan. It has a really cool texture and metallic paint that makes it shimmer under the right light. The second coolest thing are the black panels on the cover. They're made of this thick handmade paper called Lokta paper that comes from a shrub that only grows in high elevation areas of Nepal. The oldest known document ever found in Nepal was actually written on this paper and is estimated to be over 1,000 years old!
This journal has 180 pages of 105 gsm lined writing paper and will lay completely flat while writing. It will accept fountain pen ink without feathering or bleeding, but the paper is not specifically made for them.
